The Victorian Qualifications Authority (VQA) has now developed a detailed model for the credit matrix – a credit-based framework designed to apply across all the post-compulsory qualifications currently available in Victoria.
A publication, The Credit Matrix – Towards Implementation, will be sent out to LLENs, education providers and key bodies and associations, and made available on the VQA website, www.vqa.vic.gov.au. It outlines the model and the work planned over the next phase to test and refine it. It also outlines the work planned ahead for implementation, part of which includes a round of consultation towards the end of 2004.
The VQA is keen to ensure that the credit matrix project continues to be as fully informed as possible by the views and advice of all its stakeholders. Comments or questions are welcome at any time, either through the Your Views section of the VQA website, email (vqa@vqa.vic.gov.au), telephone (03 9637 2806) or fax (03 9637 2422).
