Great ALW Debate!

Get Involved!. Community organisations, local councils, learning providers. libraries and similar organisations are invited to get involved in the Great Adult Learners' Week Debate. (1-8 September) It involves a chain of debates taking place around Australia on themes connected to lifelong learning.

This year's topics for debate are: 'That ignorance is not bliss'; 'That you can learn more from children than from books'; and 'That lifelong learning is the secret to long life' .

Forum on Review of Training Packages

One of the two consultants who conducted the high level review of training packages and wrote the report Moving On will be presenting the findings at a forum in Brisbane on Wednesday August 18.

Dr Rod McDonald will be joined by Australian National Training Authority representatives who will present information about the future of training packages and how they can better meet current and future skill needs.
