The kinglake Rural Transaction Centre was the site this evening of the sixth in a series [and third for the day] of shire-wide industry and community consultations for the Murrindindi Shire High Priority Training Demand Study.
As reported in March of this year, the High Priority Training demand study is one of the results of the Victorian State Government's Community Cabinet meeting in the Murrindindi Shire late in 2004.
The Central Ranges LLEN is working in partnership with the Murrindindi Shire Economic Development Unit and the Office of Training and Tertiary Education in identifying the specific needs of local industries/enterprises in small or "thin" markets and how education and training providers can develop a coordinated and strategic response to their needs.
Nine people braved the very DARK and VERY wet evening to discuss issues of common concern.
A executive summary will be made available in late November for contribuotrs to review.
PLease contact the LLEN or Murrindindi Shire council for further details.
