CRLLEN supports TAA delivery where it's needed!

The Central Ranges LLEN, with the support of the Murrindindi Sub-Committee, has funded providers in this area to qualify students in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAA40104.
During 2007, 11 students are completing this course in Yea and Alexandra, significantly increasing the pool of qualified trainers and assessors available. Their experience and skills cover a wide range, from Information Technology, Volunteering, Business and Horticulture. As the qualifications build, providers will be able to expand the range of courses they are able to offer their communities !
A wonderful outcome.
Request:
If anyone knows an experienced hospitality worker who would be willing to undertake TAA in 2008 to offer Food Hygiene classes near Kilmore, Broadford and Pyalong, let me know.
CEACA will pay course fees for the first suitable candidate.
Kilmore 2008
CEACA has been working with Yea and Seymour to offer accredited courses closer to the students who need them. This has proved very popular and with more qualified locals, we are hoping to expand this program. If there is sufficient demand, Kilmore Community House and CEACA are planning to offer TAA in Kilmore in 2008.
Online plans
The TAA certificate has four units that are compulsory and another ten that may be completed through RPL by experienced trainers and assessors or those with the old Workplace Training Certificate. Students previously funded by the LLEN are currently working on a Learnscope project to deliver these four compulsory units online in 2008. This should also help to bring more training to students instead of always expecting them to travel such long distances for essential courses.
Thank you
Congratulations to the LLEN for taking such a practical and positive step towards overcoming the isolation and distance that make training so difficult for people in this area. This is really making a difference.
And Bill, many thanks for your support.
