The LLEN will follow Good Governance principles.

Good governance is an essential element of LLENs achieving their purpose, goals, and objectives and is also necessary to meet all of the LLENs’ legal and legislative requirements.

Governance is about how Board members behave and carry out their responsibilities. Governance is the process by which organisations are directed, controlled and held to account, and is underpinned by the principles of openness, integrity and accountability.

Whilst every Board/Committee of Management is responsible for determining how it pursues good governance, it is expected that all LLENs will:

  • Maintain LLEN Governance Structures and satisfaction rating of the Central Ranges LLEN Board members with the governance practices of the Board.

     

 

  • All Board members adhere to Directors Charter and Governance Policies.

 

  • Maintain member and stakeholder satisfaction levels at 2006/7 benchmark.

 

  • 100% satisfaction [consensus] rating of the LLEN Board members with the governance practices of the Board. (minimum 80% response rate)
  • Board attendance rates average above 80%

 

  • 100% of Board members confirm Director’s Charter

 

 

  • 85%+ Satisfaction rating of Stakeholders in the operation of the LLEN. (minimum 50% response rate)
