The Fast Track to Gaining a Qualification
The Goulburn Ovens Skills Store is now up and running across the Goulburn North East [Hume] Region.
The Goulburn Ovens Skills Store is a partnership between GOTAFE and the Hume Region ACFE Providers.
The Skills Store is a free mobile advice and referral service which provides the opportunity for you to be assessed for prior learning and experience so that you can get credits towards a formal qualification.
The Skills Store uses Competency Navigator (a software program) to assist in identifying your skills and matching them to potential national qualifications. A trained Skilled Store Consultant will guide you through a preliminary assessment process, where you will receive:
- A referral to a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for a formal assessment
- A $250 grant to assist you with the formal assessment and training process with RTO
- A skill profile
- A training plan
The Goulburn Ovens Skills Store will be travelling to your town soon. The Skills Store is a mobile outreach service, but also has offices at the GOTAFE Fryers Street and Docker Street Campuses.
