Mitchell & Murrindindi Shire – Young people “SHOUT”

On March 3rd, 4th and 5th,  Seymour Performing Arts Centre was home to over 70 young people and workshop facilitators Adam Thompson (AKA Chocolate Starfish) and crew.

Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie Shires collaborated for the second year in a row to provide a music program called MusoMagic.

This three day workshop provides an innovative, outstanding mentoring program to unite, engage, motivate and empower groups of all ages and backgrounds through the magic of song.

This year young people came together to create the Music Video “SHOUT”.  The group that call themselves ‘Teenage Heroes’ described growing up, owning their space and the need to be grounded.

On the last day of filming Seymour Library & Seymour Township was the backdrop for a Flash Mob scene, much to the amusement of many onlookers.

Young people engaged in music, participated in lyric writing, built new relationships and created their own fully produced Music Video.

Welcome to the Big Show everyone.

Stay Tune for next year, Alexandra (Murrindindi Shire) ….here we come.
