From 1-8 September, Adult Learners’ Week will see over 450 adult education centres in Victoria involved in special events and activities to promote the range of learning opportunities available to adults of all ages, abilities, interests and backgrounds.
As part of the programme available across the region, "THE CENTRE" in Wangaratta is staging the 2006 "Literacy Gathering".
When: Friday, 1 September : 9.30 am – 4.00 pm
Where:
The Centre, Wangaratta
Workshops sessions will include:
- Teaching Resources for the new CGEA,
- Using professional judgement for LLN in VTE ,
- Digital storytelling and movie making
- ACE Resource Bank and
- Enhancing Teaching: Integrating Language, Literacy and Numeracy in VET
just to name a few.
Pat Grosse, the Regional Education Development Officer for the Hume Regional Council of ACFE says;
This promises to be a strong program and relevant to anybody working with literacy, including literacy in training programs.
