Stage 1 of Wallan School underway

Wallan SC SignA number of members have enquired about the progress of the new Wallan Secondary College.

It is a very significant time in the history of any community when it gets its first secondary school.

 

Stage 1 of the planned School is due to accept the first Year 7 Students at the beginning of the school year in 2006.

Construction on the $ 5.1 Million dollar stage 1 has begun.

This will include classrooms, Art, Library, Staff and Administration facilities, plus associated works.

Early work can be seen in these photos. Huge amounts of soil have been moved, some concrete slabs and all related plumbing has been laid.

The selection of the first College Principal will occur in August.
